PNE Phoenix Project CDromNorth East media and video production company Superkrush commissioned me to design and develop this cross-platform interactive CD-rom for Project North East, showcasing the recent success of their Encouraging Enterprise development scheme which helped small community-driven businesses get off the ground.
The CD-rom was essentially an animated interactive menu for a series of videos profiling the seven North East small businesses who benefitted from the scheme. Once the presentation was over, copies of the CD-rom were distributed to everyone involved.
The key challenges in this project were the short turnaround and the modest amount of content I had to work with, as the CD-rom was to be centred primarily around the videos.
With less than two days to design the interface, develop the CD-rom and encode 14 video clips into flash video format, the layout and design were kept very simple and professional, with a smooth animated border and slick, happy rollover animations to bring the CD-rom to life.
